The Web Development Intern works with the Web Development Manager to complete tasks related to web development and testing functionality of MasterControl's website assets. The Web Development Intern is expected to have a background in software development with interest in learning testing techniques. This person will work mainly on testing the code that the web development team develops and commits to the web servers. Strong logic skills are required in order to properly review and test the functionality. There may be potential for cross-training for website and content administration. Works under immediate supervision.
|Duties:||ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: |
Executing a battery of functional tests in multiple development environments
Learning about MasterControl's website infrastructure and content
Working with the Web Development team in an agile team environment
Learning about testing best practices and investigating automated tools
Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Ability to operate a computer and work at a desk for an extended period of time
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Strong analytical ability to systematically execute testing protocols
Willingness to suggest optimizations to the testing process
Ability to manage multiple short-term projects without close supervision
Ability to stay focused while doing repetitious tasks
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Microsoft Excel experience required, with overall Microsoft Office experience preferred
Strong desire to learn and adopt testing best practices
|Qualifications:||EDUCATION AND TRAINING:|
Pursuing a Software/IT/IS degree or similar work experience preferred
