JOB SUMMARY

The Automation Engineer will work in a temporary capacity for approximately 6 months or until the project ends and is responsible for creating test automation for MasterControl's validation TOQ product. Tests are written and executed in Selenium WebDriver, using the Ruby language. Workflows will be derived from functional requirements specifications. Engineers will work in a dedicated team to collaboratively complete full WebDriver automation of MasterControl's core products.

JOB SUMMARY

The Contract Automation Engineer will work in a temporary capacity for approximately 3-6 months or until the project ends and is responsible for creating test automation for MasterControl's validation TOQ product. Tests are written and executed in Selenium WebDriver, using the Ruby language. Workflows will be derived from functional requirements specifications. Engineers will work in a dedicated team to collaboratively complete full WebDriver automation of MasterControl's core products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Learn the MasterControl software

Work in a team to create WebDriver test automation for MasterControl's core products

Ensure tests pass regularly

Assist with test disposition and defect logging

Work closely with product owners, software developers, and other software quality engineers in an agile environment to resolve issues

Anticipated time period is six months



Qualifications:KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Software/Web automation scripting experience (Selenium WebDriver, HP UFT, Capybara, Watir, etc.)

Programming knowledge/experience (Ruby, VB Script, JavaScript, HTML/XML, CFML, Java, etc.)

Database knowledge/experience (MS SQL and/or Oracle, SQL query language)

Backend testing

Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, trust-building, conflict-resolution, and writing skills

Passionate about creatively solving business problems

Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Meet multiple, challenging deadlines while communicating expectations clearly



EXPERIENCE AND PROFICIENCIES

Entry-level position within field

4-year degree or equivalent experience

0-3 years additional experience beyond education

Conducts routine tasks as directed

Little to no test automation, regulated industry knowledge or experience



PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Operate a computer and work at a desk for extended periods of time

Communicate effectively in writing, in person, over the telephone and in e-mail
