The Payroll Specialist is responsible for payroll operations in a fast-paced technology environment. The role works closely with the Accounting and Human Resources departments to ensure best practices for payroll processing and confidential employee information. In addition to payroll processing, the role will work closely with benefits administrators and accountants to reconcile employee benefits costs with vendor invoicing. The role will interface directly with employees and managers to ensure all payroll elements are captured in a timely manner. |Duties:||ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:|
Processes semi-monthly payroll for US-based employees including bonuses, commissions, benefits deductions, salary increases and other compensation related changes.
Work closely with peers in accounting to reconcile payroll reporting with vendor invoices and general ledger accounts to enaure pay and benefits-related costs are recorded accurately.
Ensure MasterControl is compliant for all current wage and hour laws.
Work closely with ADP representatives to ensure payroll deadlines are met, employees are paid ontime and self-service portal is functioning properly.
Send professional and respectful communications to employees to remind them of payroll deadlines and to resolve any payroll-related matters.
Partner closely with Human Resouces to ensure the payroll experience for employees reflects MasterControl's awesome culture.

|Qualifications:||KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS|
4+ years of payroll processing experience for 100+ employees in a multi-state environment
Experience with ADP preferred
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, WORD, Excel and PowerPoint
Prior experience with account reconciliations
Experience with HR-related legislation and employment law
Experience with payroll administration for healthcare and 401(k) deductions
Strong interpersonal and communications skills to interact with internal and external parties in a manner that generates excitement and builds confidence in established processes.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines
Professional demeanor and positive attitude
Commitment to building a strong company culture and a best-in-class working environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Ability to operate a computer and work at a desk for an extended period of time.
Ability to travel and attend events where one may be standing for long periods of time.
