The product owner acts as an agile team member, serving as the customer proxy and is responsible for working with product management and other stakeholders. The product owner will provide team support in an agile environment while defining stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog. The PO will play a significant role in quality and will accept stories as completed. He or she will work in a dynamic team environment to effectively meet Company milestones for new and existing products.
|Duties:||ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:|
Involvement in preparation and execution of PI planning including drafting objectives and story definition
Development and support of story plans as well as ATDD (acceptance test-driven development)
Develop product requirements for new initiatives
Contributes to and takes ownership for vision and program backlog as well as implementation
Defines and drives iterations and stories as well as establishes and acceptes criteria
Write business cases and produces financial models for key strategic projects
Define the success metrics for products or services and track performance
Manage product dashboard and team communication
Act as a liaise with product managers to understand the features and challenges in product requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Understand agile estimation approaches
Strong analytical skills, especially the ability to evaluate a mix of both quantitative and qualitative data
Outstanding organizational skills, especially the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities being executed by multiple teams
Ability to discover and define technical requirements and their relationship to provide continuity in all major application solution decisions
Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Bachelor's degree in a computer or business related discipline (Computer Science, Computer engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration or Management, etc) or equivalent work experience; Master's degree preferred
5+ years of combined experience in product management, product development, software development and/or product support
2+ years of product ownership experience
Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies, particularly Agile/Scrum
Background in product development and/or product/program delivery
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification
Experience as a product owner in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Experience in Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals & Biotechnology, Blood & Biologics or ISO Certification a plus
