JOB SUMMARY:

As a Web Designer/Front End Developer, you will work as part of the design team in the marketing department and take direction from the creative manager and/or marketing director.

We are looking for candidates with a blend of web designer skills, strong graphics design creativity, and front-end web development experiences utilizing dynamic web programming. Candidates must be detail-oriented, and have the ability to work within tight timelines on multiple projects simultaneously.

You will work within a team of designers and web developers that take on new development initiatives and projects. You will be responsible for front-end development and client-side interactions using HTML5, XHTML, CSS3, XML, RSS, JavaScript and other related interactive technologies. The ability to create clickable HTML prototypes is a must.

The ideal candidate will be abreast of technological advances in the field and be able to identify areas of use in the organization. The position may require an Associate degree or its equivalent and at least 1 year of experience in the field or in a related area.

Duties:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create graphics, banners, landing pages, and web sites
Create wireframes, rapid prototypes, user interfaces, and comp designs
Design layout and templates for maximum usability and focus on user experience
Create user interfaces, using front-end code in HTML5, CSS3, JQuery, and JavaScript to interface with backend code
Use advanced CSS techniques in order to solve design issues
Use the web content management system in order to edit/create pages, assist partner departments with adding/editing content in the CMS
Perform usability tests on interface design to insure cross-browser compatibility
Work closely with website optimization manager to deliver graphics, mockups, and web pages to be used in A/B and multivariate testing
Participate in brainstorming of improvements to the website and how to go about testing those ideas
Give expert design advice on projects, make recommendations for improving websites
Work with web developers to apply style and user interface design to web applications
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

Ability to operate a computer and work at a desk for extended periods of time
Bending, stooping and lifting are occasionally required of this position
Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, over the telephone and in email
Qualifications:MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Creative individual with an online portfolio of design samples
Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to constructive criticism
Ability to use latest design/web software tools
Experience with design concepts and UI/UX principals
Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JQuery, and JavaScript
Experience with enterprise content management systems
Expert experience with Adobe CC(Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
Closely follow trends and developments in technology and integrate them into the current environment
Self-directed and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
